Roman Kotsyna

I am an oral surgeon with over 20 years of professional experience. I received my dentistry diploma in 2003 from Kharkiv State Medical University, and straight after graduation I completed an internship in oral surgery, which set the direction for my entire career.

I gained my first professional experience where surgery can be most demanding — at the pediatric maxillofacial surgery department of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital in Kharkiv, where I worked from 2005 to 2012. Working with the youngest patients in complex cases taught me the precision and patience that stay with me in every procedure to this day.

Later I worked at leading private clinics in Kharkiv and Dnipro, performing surgical treatment and complex dental procedures. In 2020 I obtained a specialization in healthcare organization and management, which allowed me to become head of the surgical department and acting chief physician of a clinic in Dnipro — an experience that taught me to look at patient treatment not only from the perspective of a single procedure, but of the entire care process.

I continuously improve my qualifications by attending international courses led by renowned specialists — I studied soft tissue management with Dr Giovanni Zucchelli (2014), hard and soft tissue surgery with Dr Istvan Urban (2018), and took part in oral surgery training led by Dr Markus Hürzeler.

In my work, patient safety and a predictable outcome come first — even in the most complex cases, such as impacted wisdom teeth or bone grafting for implants. I aim to perform every surgical procedure as minimally invasively as possible, with a quick and comfortable recovery for the patient in mind.
